Pemayangtse Monastery is one of the premier and oldest monasteries that are founded, designed and planned by Lama Lhatsun Chempo. Being the much-favorite holiday destination, it is visited by a large number of travelers throughout the year. This place is situated just 110 Km away from West of Gangtok. It is built for ‘pure monks’ which means ‘Perfect Sublime Lotus’. The best time to visit this monastery is during the spring and summer season when the sky is cleared. 

Built as the Tibetan style of architecture, the Sangachoeling Monastery is one of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim that were constructed in the 17th century. It has numerous clay statues, ancient paintings and accessories. This monastery is located amongst the beautiful backdrop of the Great Himalayas. From here, you can enjoy spectacular natural views. In the inner sanctum, nobody is allowed to enter except the members of the Lepcha and Bhutia communities. 

It is the archeological site which tells the story of glory of Sikkim. If we talk about Rabdentse, it was the second capital of Sikkim former kingdom from 1670 to 1814. Rabdentse Ruins has been declared by the Archaeological Survey of India as a heritage site. Summer season is the best time to visit this place when the weather is pleasant. From Pelling, you can hire a share jeep or a taxi.  

In West Sikkim, Khecheopalri Lake is situated approaximate 147 Km from Gangtok – the capital city of Sikkim. This lake is an integral part of the Buddhist religious pilgrimage circuit – Dubdi monastery, Yuksom, Sanga Choeling Monastery, Rabdentse ruins, and Tashiding Monastery. By visiting this lake, you can find a great peace of mind. 

For those who want to see awe-inspiring views of gushing chilled water, visiting Kanchenjunga Falls is considered as a great decision. Being a stunning waterfall, it is located at the distance of 24 km from Pelling and 10 km from Yuksom. If you are a nature enthusiast, then you can have vivid experience at this place. 

Singshore Bridge
Singshore Bridge is touted as the highest bridge in the state and the second-highest in Asia at the elevation of more than 100 meter. Near Pelling, Rimbi waterfall is a beautiful waterfall that is situated closed to the oldest hydro power stations in Sikkim. Sewaro Rock Garden
Situated close to the Karchen Power house, Sewaro Rock Garden is developed to draw a large number of tourists in this place. The entire area is covered with thick beautiful greenery and flowers. Located around 12 Km from Pelling, it has many most popular monasteries like Pemayangtse Monastery, Sangachoeling Monastery and Rabdentse Monastery. Tashiding Monastery
At the distance of 36 KM from Pelling, Tashiding Monastery is one of the top places to visit in Sikkim that was built by Ngadak Sempa Chempo Phunshok Rigzing in 1641 CE. Being the holiest monasteries in Sikkim, it is most popular as ‘Heart of Sikkim/Denzong’. If you are seeking peace and Nirvana surrounding the mountains, then you must visit this monastery. 

Sky Walk, Pelling is situated at the upper Pelling of West Sikkim that was built with an idea of being the first glass bridge. It is transparent thick glass at the height of 100 ft. There is a ticket price of 50 INR each. What’s more, you have to remove your shoes before entering the main premises. Some nearby attractions are Rimbi waterfalls, Rabdentse Ruins, Changey Waterfalls, Rimbi Orange Garden, and many more. 

Khangchendzonga National Park
Khangchendzonga National Park is located at the heart of the Northern India Himalayan range. This park has a unique diversity of lakes, valleys, plains, snow-capped mountains and glaciers. Being one of the highest peaks, Mount Khangchendzonga has numerous stories associated with it. You can easily reach this park by air, rail or road. Here, you can find around 550 species of birds such as snow pigeon, Western Tragopan, Ospreys, Blood Pheasant, Eagles, Sunbird, etc.
