Itinerary

Day 1: Arrrival Guwahati - Cherrapunjee

Pick up from Guwahati in the morning. After greetings, we will take you to Cherrapunjee the wettest place in the world. While traveling en route we see the majestic Umiam Lake (Barapani) surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies, spend some time at Umiam Lake & you could do boating and visit to Shillong Peak & Elephanta Water Fall. It is a pleasant drive to see roaring waterfalls leaping into deep gorges, including the famed Nohsngithiang Falls. Also visit Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Cave, Mawkdok Dympep Valley View Point.Overnight stay in the hotel at Cherrapunjee. (All the Sightseeing depends, if time permits)

Day 2: Cherrapunjee Excursion

After breakfast, get ready to explore Cherrapunjee. Visit Seven Sisters Waterfall, Eco Park, NohKaLikai Falls, Arwah Cave, Wah-Kaba Falls & Garden of Caves. In the evening, return to your hotel/homestay and enjoy the beautiful evening. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.

Day 3: Cherrapunjee – Mawlynnong – Dawki (Shnongpdeng) – Shillong

Today, after breakfast, start your journey to Mawlynnong (it was awarded the prestigious tag of 'Cleanest Village in Asia' in 2003. Upon arrival do a short trek in the village & witness the local beauty. You can also visit Balancing Rock, Sky Viewpoint (Nohwet Viewpoint) & the longest living root bridge. Eat local lunch in the village. Then, we will proceed to the border town of Dawki, a hidden paradise. Upon arrival, visit the Umngot River in Dawki is crystal clear & is considered one the cleanest rivers in. You can do boating (at an additional cost). In the evening, get transferred to Shillong. Overnight stay at Shillong

Day 4: Shillong – Kaziranga

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel & start your journey to Kaziranga. Kaziranga National Park is a protected area in the northeast Indian state of Assam. Spread across the floodplains of the Brahmaputra River, its forests, wetlands, and grasslands are home to tigers, elephants, and the world’s largest population of Indian one-horned rhinoceroses. Upon arrival check-in to your hotel and overnight stay at Kaziranga.

Day 5: Kaziranga – Nameri National Park - Bhalukpong (280 Kms/6 Hrs.)

Early morning, head out to explore one zone of the national park riding on an elephant (on your own). Later explore the other zone of the Park on Jeep Safari (at an additional cost). After an amazing experience at Kaziranga National Park, return to the hotel for a lip-smacking breakfast. Check-out from the hotel & proceed to Bhalukpong, which is the entry hub of Arunachal Pradesh & famous for archaeological ruins of King Bhaluka who was the grandfather of King Bana of Mahabharata fame. En-route visit Nameri National Park. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Bhalukpong

Day 6: Bhalukpong - Dirang (150 km/5-6 Hours)

Post breakfast; proceed to Dirang small hill station in west Kameng district. Its spectacular landscape and beauteous nature will surely please your eyes and comfort your body and soul. We will visit Kalachakra Gompa also refered as Dirang Monastery and perceive the serene land. Witness Kiwi Orchids, then to Dirang Dzong (fort) which is about 150 years old, and have an excellent view of the surrounding. Upon arrival at Dirang, check into the hotel. In the evening you are free to visit the hot water spring, regional sheep farm, Sangti, and Yak Research Center. Overnight stay at Dirang.

Day 7: Dirang - Tawang (140 km/6-7 Hours)

After relishing a wholesome breakfast, proceed for a drive to Tawang and continue to reach the scenic Sela Pass, the only way that connects the Tawang district of the state to the rest of the country. Besides its geographical importance, Sela Pass is a breathtaking place always covered in snow providing some beautiful views of the eastern Himalayan range. En-route visit the famous Sela Lake. Upon reaching Tawang, check in to your hotel. Have a pleasant overnight stay at the Hotel/Homestay in Tawang.

Day 8: Tawang - PTSO Lake - Madhuri Lake - Bum La Pass - Tawang (Optional)

Post breakfast, start your day with a breathtaking view of Shonga-tser Lake (Madhuri Lake), surrounded by snow-capped mountains and the valley offer a spectacular view. Next move on to Bum La Pass about 37 km away from Tawang, it is the indo-china border that lies at 15,200 ft above sea level. On your way back stop by Heart Lake, PTSO lake, and Naghula lake, which will surely make your day. After this return to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay in Tawang. (Madhuri Lake & Bumla Pass tour could be done on additional cost).

Day 9: Tawang - Bomdila (175 km/ 7-8 Hours)

Post breakfast, we will move on to Bomdila. Pay a visit to Bomdila Monastery, which was established in the year of 1965. Explore over 5000 orchid verities including some rarest species of orchid in Tipi Orchidarium. This will be shown to you the next day. In Bomdila, have a spectacular view from Bomdila View Point, and witness the impeccable beauty of Bomdila. In the evening enjoy visiting the local market. Afterward retune to your hotel for the overnight stay in Bomdila

Day 10: Bomdila – Guwahati drop (280 Kms/8 Hrs.)

Today after breakfast we will drive to Guwahati, Upon arrival at Guwahati proceed to Airport/Railway station for onward destinations. The tour concludes with everlasting memories of Arunachal Pradesh.
