Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati - Nameri National Park
Upon your arrival, start your journey towards Nameri National Park. Nameri National Park is a national park in the foothills of the eastern Himalayas in the Sonitpur District of Assam, India, Nameri shares its northern boundary with the Pakhui Wildlife Sanctuary of Arunachal Pradesh. Upon arrival check-in your Camp & Overnight stay.
Day 2: Nameri - Dirang (150 km/5-6 Hours)
Early morning go for Birds watching at NameriNational Park (if time permit) & After breakfast, you will enjoy a scenic drive to Dirang. En-route visit the beautiful Tipi Orchid Center spreading over 112.8 acres of land and researching on rare orchids. On reaching Dirang, check-in at the hotel and head out to visit the Dirang Dzong . Dirang Dzong is a historical fort located at the top of a hill. The fort displays a unique tribal style of architecture and was used as a shelter during the World War. Later Return to your hotel and enjoy an overnight stay at Dirang.
Day 3: Dirang - Tawang (140 Kms /5-6 Hours)
After healthy breakfast, start your journey towards Tawang. While on the way to Tawang, you would be passing through the scenic Sela Pass, the only way that connects Tawang district of the state to the rest of the country. Besides its geographical importance Sela Pass is breathtaking place always covered in snow providing some beautiful views of the eastern Himalayan range. Also visit Paradise Lake & Jaswant Garh which is a memorial built to commemorate the bravery of late Jaswant Singh Rawat. Later take a visit to Nuranng Falls. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel & stay overnight.
Day 4: Tawang - PTSO Lake - Madhuri Lake - Bum La Pass - Tawang (Optional)
Savour a delicious breakfast. Today brings to you a jam-packed full day excursion. The places that you would be heading towards today are the Bum La Pass, Madhuri Lake or Sangestar Tso Lake, which is named after popular Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit because it was featured in the movie Koyla. Also visit the PTSO Lake, which is a beautiful water body surrounded by breathtaking hills and mountains, and Nagula Lake which is a frozen lake and is a must visit when travelling to Arunachal. The evening brings to you a few hours of leisure, to spend as you like. You can visit the local markets and streets, indulge in some shopping and try the local cuisine. Overnight stay in the hotel / homestay at Tawang.
Day 5: Tawang - Bomdila (175 km/ 7-8 Hours)
After a delicious breakfast, we will proceed to Bomdila. Upon arrival at Bomdila, check-in to your hotel & later some of the big monasteries of Arunachal like Gontse Gaden Rabgyel Lling Monastery and ThubChog Gatsel Ling Monastery. Also you can capture the panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges and snow clad mountains. In the evening you can visit the local markets and other nearby places. Overnight stay in the hotel / homestay.
Day 6: Bomdila - Itanagar (270kms/8-9 hrs.)
After breakfast check-out from hotel & proceed to Itanagar, is the capital of the northeast Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. Set in the foothills of the Himalayas, the city is home to medieval Ita Fort and the Jawaharlal Nehru State Museum, which exhibits textiles and handicrafts. The nearby Gompa, a yellow-roofed Buddhist temple, was consecrated by the Dalai Lama. West of town is Geker Sinying, also known as Ganga Lake, surrounded by forests, orchids and ferns. Upon arrival visit to Ita Fort after that check in & Evening explore local Market & Overnight stay at Itanagar.
Day 7: Itanagar – Ziro (110 kms/4-5 hrs)
After breakfast check-out from hotel and proceed to Zero, is a town and the district headquarters of the Lower Subansiri district in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. It is included the Tentative List for UNESCO's World Heritage Site for the Apatani cultural landscape. Upon arrival Visit NISHI and APATANI tribal villages After that check-in your Homestay/resort & Overnight stay.
Day 8: Ziro Excursion & Transfer to Itanagar
After breakfast visit the valley & Ziro Puto the place where the first administrative center was set up after India’s independence. After sightseeing proceed to Itanagar. Upon arrival check-in your hotel & Overnight stay.
Day 9: Itanagar Depart
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel & proceed to Airport for your departure. Your arrival at the Airport will mark the end of the tour. Tour concludes with everlasting memories of Arunachal.
