Itinerary
Day 1: Guwahati Arrival
Welcome on arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station. After greetings,we will be Transferting towards the Guwahati hotel upon arrival there check in hotel and overnight stay.
Day 2: Guwahati - Shivsagar
Early morning visit Kamakhya Temple and thereafter proceed for Shivsagar.Sivasagar, is a city in and headquarters of the Sivasagar district, Assam. Sivasagar is situated about 360 kilometers northeast of Guwahati. It is well known for its Ahom palaces and monuments. Sivasagar is an important centre for tea and oil industries today. Sivasagar is a part of Jorhat.Upon arrival there check in hotel and overnight stay.
Day 3: Shiv Sagar Sightseeing - Kaziranga Transfer
Shiv Sagar Sightseeing (Talatal Ghar, Rang Ghar, Ahom Museum, Sibsagar Lake, Gaurisagar, Joysagar) and after proceed for Kaziranga upon arrival there check in hotel and overnight stay in kaziranga
Day 4: Sightseeing | Kaziranga National Park - Shillong
Early morning, head out to explore one zone of the national park riding on an elephant (at an additional cost). Later explore the other zone of the Park on Jeep Safari (at an additional cost). After an amazing experience at Kaziranga National Park, return to the hotel for a lip-smacking breakfast. Check-out from the hotel & proceed to Shillong. You will come across the Umiam Lake (Barapani) while traveling from Guwahati to Shillong, capturing its mesmerizing beauty it has to offer. You may take a ride on a speed boat (at additional cost). Later, we shall move forward. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel & stay overnight.
Day 5: Shillong - Cherrapunjee
Today after breakfast, we will travel to Cherrapunjee. En-route visit Shillong peak(extra cost due to taxi uniun) to have a picturesque view of the entire city. Then visit Elephant Falls, named after an Elephant like stone at its foot, the Elephant Falls are amongst the most popular falls in the North-East. Upon arrival at Cherrapunjee, visit Mawkdok Dympep Valley View Point, Dainthlen Falls, Wei Sawdong & Mawsmai Cave. Enjoy the beautiful evening. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.
Day 6: Cherrapunjee - Nongriat Trek (Double Decker Root Bridge) - Cherrapunjee
Early morning (6 AM) your journey to Double Decker Root Bridge, deep in the dense tropical forest Meghalaya is a must visit destination known for its numerous waterfalls. It's a 3000 step journey (Trek) down the hill and the trek starts from Tyrna Village (10 Kms from Sohra, Cherrapunjee). Start the trek to the Double Decker Root Bridge (Nongriat) with the local guide (guide cost excluded). The aprox. Time to complete the journey (both ways) is 5-6 Hrs. Later on, you can also extend your hike to Rainbow Falls (60 minutes hike from Nongriat). Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee. OR Cherrapunjee Excursion After breakfast, get ready to explore Cherrapunjee. Visit Seven Sisters Waterfall, Eco Park, NohKaLikai Falls, Arwah Cave, Wah-Kaba Falls & Garden of Caves. In the evening, return to your hotel/homestay and enjoy the beautiful evening. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.
Day 7: Cherrapunji – Mawlynnong – Dawki (Shnongpdeng) - Shillong
Today, after breakfast, start your journey to Mawlynnong (it was awarded the prestigious tag of 'Cleanest Village in Asia' in 2003. Upon arrival do a short trek in the village & witness the local beauty. You can also visit Balancing Rock, Sky Viewpoint (Nohwet Viewpoint) & the longest living root bridge. Eat local lunch in the village.Then, we will proceed to the border town of Dawki, a hidden paradise. Upon arrival, visit Umngot River in Dawki is crystal clear & is considered one the cleanest rivers in. You can do boating (at an additional cost). Overnight stay at Shillong
Day 8: Shillong - Laitlum Canyon - Guwahati
After breakfast, proceed to Laitlum Canyon. You can trek to the amazing Laitlum Canyon.Spend hours looking at the breathtaking gorges and steep winding stairways that snake their way down to the lush valley. Later, we will proceed further to Guwahati upon arrival there check in at the hotel and in the evening you can go for Brahmaputra river cruise(Additional charges) and return back to hotel and overnight stay In guwahati.
Day 9: Guwahati Local & Departure
This day visit , Sankardev Kalakshetra. Umananda temple, And saam state museum and there after checkout from hotel and proceed for Guwahati Airport / Railway station and drop you there for your onward destination Tour ends.
