How to reach Chitwan 

By Air: The closest airport to Chitwan is the Bharatpur airport which is some 10 kilometers from Chitwan National Park. There are frequent flights that are available from Kathmandu, the flying hours are about twenty minutes. So, you can easily go on Chitwan National Park tours from Kathmandu. On getting to the airport you can hire a taxi or use a bus to get to your desired destination.


By Train: Unfortunately, there are no railway connections to Chitwan in Nepal, however, you can take a standard gauge that connects to Gorakhpur in India. From Gorakhpur taxi or bus to the Sunauli border and then by road to Chitwan.


By Road: Two modes of transport will lead you to Chitwan: by buses or by private cars. From Kathmandu or Pokhara, it takes around 5 to 6 hours on a bus. There are daily bus services available for Pokhara and Kathmandu as well as Intracity.
