Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Chennai
Arrive Chennai. Meeting on assistance and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon sightseeing tour of the city. The full day tour covers Fort St. George, Government Museum, Valluvar Kottam, Snake Park, Kapaleeswarar Temple & Marina Beach. (Govt. Museum will be closed on Fridays instead Birla Planetorium will be covered on that day) (Snake Park is closed on Tuesdays)(if time permits). Back to hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay.
Day 2: Chennai - Kanchipuram (70kms)- Mamallapuram (65kms)
After breakfast check-out from the hotel and drive to Mamallapuram via Kanchipuram (The City Of Thousand Temples). where we will visit Kailasanatha, Sri Ekambarnathar Temple, etc. Then proceed to Mamallapuram. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Evening visit the Shore Temples and Arjuna's Penance, the world's biggest bas relief. Also can enjoy Mamallapuram Dance Festival which is organized during the months of January and February in the city of Mahabalipuram.This event witnesses performances on the Indian classical dances such as the Bharat Natyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak, Mohiniattam, Odissi and Kathakali. Come back to the hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay
Day 3: Mamallapuram - Pondicherry (106kms)
After breakfast check-out from the hotel and leave for Pondicherry. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Places to be covered - Auroville (It is about 10 kms from the city centre.Auroville, at the moment, is formed of several communities, scattered along the border of Pondicherry and Tamil Nadu.), Panjavadi Temple - Panchamukha Hanuman temple at Panjavadi near here to worship him and Lord Sreenivasa Perumal of Tirupathi Thirumala Devasthanam on the occasion of the special poojas held in the temple, Aurobindo Ashram, Botanical Gardens, Pondicherry Museum, etc.(if time permits). Day 4: Pondicherry - Trichy (210kms / 5 Hrs)
Morning sightseeing of Pondicherry (if remains) and leave for Trichy by road visiting en-route Chidambaram, Kumbakonam and Gangaikondacholapuram. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay
Day 5: Trichy - Karaikuddi (75kms)
Morning sightseeing of city visiting Srirangam - Srirangam is an island surrounded by river Cauvery and kolidom on its either side. It is situated at a distance of 7 km from Trichy. The entire island Srirangam is some 600 acres broader. The Renganatha Swamy temple seen here has a history of about 5000 years. Thiruvanaikaval Jambukeshwara Temple - An important place of worship for salivates located at a distance of 1.5 km from Trichy and very nearer to Srirangam. It is one amongst the jyotirlinga states of lord shiva is seen in a form of linga and he is partially submerged in water. Later Leave for karaikuddi by road. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Day 6: Karaikuddi - Madurai (100kms)
After morning breakfast will drive to Madurai. arrival and Check in to Hotel, Later proceed for Half day Madurai sightseeing including world-famous Meenakshi temple Night stay at hotel, Night stay at hotel

Day 7: Madurai - Rameshwaram 170kms
Morning drive to Rameshwaram - The city is also an important south India pilgrimage center of the Indians. It is the place from where Lord Rama had built a bridge across the sea to rescue his consort, Sita. This is the place where Rama worshipped Lord Shiva to cleanse away the sin of Ravana. The presiding deity is the Linga Of Sri Ranganatha, which happens to be one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of India. Rameshwaram is popularly referred to as the 'Benaras of the south'.We will visit - Pamban Bridge(This bridge is 3 km long which connects the island of Rameshwaram Dhanuskodi to the mainland. This is the longest bridge in India and illustrates the marvel of the engineers.) and Dhanuskodi. Night stay In Hotel
Day 8: Rameshwaram - Departure
After breakfast transfer to Madurai or Rameshwaram for onward travel.
