Day 1: Chennai - Pondicherry (150 Kms)
Pick up and drive to beautiful erstwhile French Colony of Pondicherry city sightseeing in Pondicherry which will include the coastline and churches. Pondicherry is home to several famous Churches. Many churches were built by the French, and its structure and architecture give a definite French feel. Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Church of Capuchins, Notre dame de, The Notre Dame des Agnes, Church of the Assumption, Church of Capuchins holds the distinction of being one of the first churches in Pondycherry. The Notre Dame de reminds one of the typical French churches. The statue is of Our Lady with the infant Jesus in her arms. The Notre Dame Des Agnes is the church built on the Greek-Roman architectural design. The place is a visual treat as it has the much-acclaimed oil painting of Our Lady of the Assumption. Day 2: Pondicherry - Vailankanni (225 Kms)
After breakfast Check out and drive to vailankanni arrival and check in to the hotel , later start the full day tour with the most church in the region Vailankanni church also known as Our lady of Good Health, popularly called "Our Lady of Vailankanni" located on the shores of the Bay of Bengal. Vailankanni is fondly known as the 'Lourdes of the East' because like Lourdes in France, millions of pilgrims Shrinevisit the Shrine throughout the year, praying to Our Lady for various needs and thanking her for the favors received through her intercession. Our Lady of Vailankanni devotions down through the centuries have proved the Shrine to be of divine origin and has assumed international character. Day 3: Vailankanni
After breakfast and leave for the Nagapattinam, the district of Velankanni ( 12 KM north). Nagapattinam offers a lot of attractions. Tharangambadi (or Tranquebar) is a town in Nagapattinam district and was a Danish colony in India from 1620-1845. Tarangambadi, meaning "place of the singing waves" is one of the finest beaches on the East coast. Karaikal - The Karaikal sandy beach is one of the best natural beaches in the South Tamil Nadu. Boating Club, Arasalar is located on the backwaters of the Arasalar, Stretching over a distance of 1.75 km. from the town. Late afternoon leave for Chennai. Pondicherry - On the way to Chennai stopover to visit a few other famous churches on the periphery of Pondicherry - The Church of Assumption is located at Nellitoppu.This church is famous for its fine altarpieces which is an exquisite sight. The Church of Our Lady of Good Health is located at Ariyankkuppam and is a rebuilt version of the church built-in 1690. A lot of wooden paintings can be found here. Night stay at hotel
Day 4: Vailankanni - Departure
