People / Population: The total population of Arunachal Pradesh is approximately 10,96,702. Tribal people constitute nearly seventy percent of the total population of Arunachal Pradesh. The major tribes are Dallas, Monpas, Adis, Akas, Apatanis, Mishmis, Nishi's, Noktey, Wangchu, and Sherdukpens. Each tribe has its own language, customs, and traditions.
Religions: The religion of the mass of the population of Arunachal Pradesh consists of faith in the subsistence of a high God or Super Natural being and a host of other spirits and deities. The high God is addressed by various names by different groups of the population. Many of people believe that high God is there on the Earth as well as in the sky. While the high God is perpetually believed to be munificent, the spirits and deities are grouped under two classes - benevolent and malevolent.
Languages Spoken: The three major languages spoken in Arunachal Pradesh are Monpa, Miji, and Aka. Other tribal dialects are Hill Miri, Nishi, Sherdukpen, Mishmi, Apatani, Wancho, Dafla, and Khamti.
