Reaching the resort is quite convenient, with multiple options available by bus, train, flight, and local transport.
By Bus: You can reach Kochi by intercity or state-run buses from major cities in Kerala and neighbouring states. The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) operates regular services to Kochi. The ticket price ranges from INR 200 to INR 500, depending on the distance and type of bus (ordinary or luxury). Once you reach Kochi, you can take a local bus or auto-rickshaw to reach Bolgatty Island, which is connected to the mainland by road.
By Train: Kochi is well-connected by train, with Ernakulam Junction (South) and Ernakulam Town (North) being the major railway stations. Trains from cities like Trivandrum, Bangalore, and Chennai operate regularly at these stations. Train tickets range from INR 100 to INR 2,000, depending on the class of travel. From the railway station, you can hire a taxi or take a local bus to Bolgatty Palace. Taxi fares are typically around INR 200 to INR 300 from the railway stations to the resort.
Local Transport: Once in Kochi, you can use local buses, auto-rickshaws, or hire a taxi to reach Bolgatty Palace. Auto-rickshaw fares start at INR 30 for short distances, while taxis charge approximately INR 15 to INR 20 per km. For a more comfortable ride, app-based cabs like Uber and Ola are also available in the city.
