The Dilwara temples are a group of five beautiful Jain temples located on Mount Abu in Rajasthan. The history is so old that these temples were built between the 11th and 13th centuries and are famous for their magnificent marble architecture.
The most important of these temples are Vimalvasahi and Lunavasahi dedicated to Adi Nath and Neminath respectively. The temples are renowned for their intricate marble architecture which includes ornate ceilings, doors, pillars and beams.
The main central dome of the Vimalvasahi temple is a masterpiece of design, with exquisite carving depicting Jain mythology, visitors can take images here. Visitors usually appreciate the simplicity of the exterior of the temple, which contrasts with the opulence of the interior.
