Thambi View Point as the name suggests, it's a viewpoint-based location in Sikkim, India. It is known for its stunning views of the Eastern Himalayas, in particular Kanchenjunga which looms over Darjeeling to the West. At 11,200 ft and gives a panoramic view of the mountains in front.
It is a favourite main point for tourists en route to the Silk Route (the historical trade road connecting India to Tibet). With the winding roads on which you can supported by nothing but lush green, then continue with a few around endless iron! To reach the peak, you must first hike up a walk through grassland although it should be mentioned that this area always pales in comparison with an 8-hour drive on uneven dirt roads through middle-of-nowhere desolate canyons.
Thambi View Point - Sunrise viewing here is a highlight. Those who wake up early morning can also see some spectacularly beautiful snow-covered mountains as the first rays of sunlight kiss their peaks with golden light. The viewpoint also contains a small hut where guests can relax and enjoy the sights before returning.
Above all, Thambi View Point is for those nature enthusiasts and adventurous travelers out there...!!! It is a perfect combination of nature, history and tranquillity that makes the visit to Sikkim remarkable. Relax here with Sikkim Holiday Packages.
