She took this avatar to destroy evil and provide wealth, joy and health to her devotees.
Maa Vaishno Devi was the daughter of King Ratnakara and Queen Samrddi. According to Hindu mythology, it said that Mata Vaishno Devi was a great devotee of Lord Rama. When she was a little girl Bhaironnath who was a famous Hindu Tantric saw Devi Maa at an agricultural fair and he fell madly in lusty love with her. When Vaishnavi became an adult demon Bhairavnath tried to chase her, Goddess Vaishnavi took shelter in a cave “Vaishno Devi Temple Jammu Kashmir”, to escape from Baba Bhairav Nath and meditated there for 9 months Hanumanji guarded the cave against outside and then she defeated Bhairavnath by taking Maa Kali's avatar but he begged for forgiveness and Maa Vaishno Devi saved him because she was kind.
