It takes around 180 km from Kolkata to reach Mandarmani via the Digha route. The area of Mandarmani is about 24.36 sq. km. in total. This beach is known for having the longest drive in India, though it is arguable. This 13 km long beach is filled with crawling red crabs. So, if a person sees red crabs crawled over the area, he reaches his destination. Mandarmani lies under the Contai subdivision area. In comparison with Digha, Mandarmani has a relatively low waver geographically.
To reach Mandarmani, driving through the roads is the best way, but recently, police from local areas restrict private cars from passing by. People generally rent a tourist bus to reach there. There is a proper road that allows tourists to arrive at their respective hotels from the backside. The weather here is average. During the day, one can feel high temperature and low temperature during the night. Being the seaside, the environment is quite fresh, moist, or rough according to the weather.
