Bhalka Tirth

This is an important pilgrimage site situated in Veraval the Bhalka Tirth which is near Somnath. The place is believed to be the spot where Lord Krishna was mistakenly shot by a hunter named Jara. According to Hindu mythology, the incident marked the end of Lord Krishna’s earthly life and his return to his divine life.

To reach Bhalka Tirth from Gandhinagar or Ahmedabad, take a train or bus to Veraval, then a taxi or auto-rickshaw to Bhalka Tirth. Alternatively, drive via NH47 and NH51 for a direct route. The journey takes approximately 6-8 hours.
