Somnath Temple is also called Somnath Mandir. It is one of the most beautiful shrines located on the western coast of Gujarat. The original Shivling of Somnath is at the Somnath Temple and according to the locals, the renowned Syamanthaka_mani was thought to have the Shivlinga safely hidden inside its hollow when the attackers arrived to destroy it.
