How to Reach


If travelling by road from Delhi to Dal Lake in Dharamshala, begin by travelling on NH44 towards Ambala. After leaving Chandigarh behind, stay on NH503, travelling through the cities of Una and Kangra. Travel towards Dharamshala from Kangra by following the signs to McLeod Ganj. Dal Lake is around 4 km before McLeod Ganj. Depending on traffic and road conditions, the total trip takes 10 to 12 hours and covers about 475 kilometres.
