This is the most attractive place in Mussoorie a lot of tourists especially come to visit this attraction only. Located on the way between Dehradun-Mussoorie roads, in the Ram Gaon area of Tehri Garhwal, Kempty Falls is one the most popular tourist attractions and picnic spots in Mussoorie.
The fall is surrounded by high mountain rocks, Kempty Falls is located at a height of around 4500 feet above sea level. A pond is formed at the bottom of the falls which makes it an excellent spot for swimming and bathing.
Kempty Falls's name is taken from the terms “Camp and Tea” which is famous for amazing tea parties that were once organized here in the evening eventually leading to a localized name Kempty. It was developed as a picnic destination by John Mekinan owing to its captivating surroundings and scenic beauty.
Offering a stunning view of a water stream cascading down from a great height, it divides into two main falls. Quite famous among tourists as a picnic spot, the perennial Kempty waterfall is crowded almost throughout the year where tourists can capture beautiful images. Weather: It's cold and could snow. Thick jackets, thermal layers, thick sweaters, caps, gloves, and scarves are examples of heavy winter attire. For feet to stay dry and warm, insulated boots are a need.

Kempty Falls is situated in Ram Gaon, about 15 km from the popular hill station Mussoorie and 45 km from Dehradun. One can easily get a tourist bus from Mussoorie bust stand or a taxi till the fall. Alternatively, tourist cabs are also available to the falls.
