The total population of Jaldapara and its adjoining villages is about 1,098 people (2011 Census). About 263 families occupy the rural district. Though most people converse in Bengali, they mostly belong to indigenous tribes and most of them are involved in the cultivation of their lands or work as agricultural laborers.
You get limited cuisines here, near the Jaldapara National Park. However, there are small restaurants that serve Indian and Chinese cuisines. You will find plenty of options here if you are looking to taste the local Bengali delicacies like phuchka, aloo-luchi, jhalmuri, or fish curries and rice.
