Overview

Netarhat is the highest altitude in the Chhotanagpur plateau and is also known as the “Queen of Chhotanagpur”. This place is most popular for the views of the sun rising and setting and they are at their best during summer. Earlier, people living in Netarhat were the tribes who were living in close contact with nature. Netarhat assumed its importance with the British colonization of India as the place preferred by the British authorities traveling away from the scorching heat of the Indian summer. Since the independence of the country, locals enjoyed vacations on the island while it remained off the beaten track of commercial tourism. Netarhat Jharkhand tourism offers a lot of amazing attractions. Netarhat has facilities for trekking, hunting, bird watching, boating, and fishing. It also consists of splendid forests, cool climatic conditions, and beautiful waterfalls.

The stunning viewpoints in the hill station include the Sunrise and the Sunset Points. These offer amazing views of picturesque colored valleys and hills at the start of the new day and the evening. The prospects for these points are picturesque, and one can enjoy the time here, taking photos. Make sure to visit the majestic Lodh Falls with a height of 150 feet. They have a backdrop of thick forests and rocks, which makes them ideal for picnics as well as photography. A little south of here, Upper and Lower Ghaghri Falls are also stunning waterfalls with gorgeous scenery. Koel View Point is another spot where you can admire beautiful scenes of the Koel River and Chotanagpur territory. Further, the beauty and an atmosphere of calmness can be observed at the Netarhat Dam site situated at the Koel River. Jharkhand tourism is preserving the balance of the ecology while developing tourism. Also, tropical forests, waterfalls, and the ever-rolling landscape provide a great playground for lovers of nature and tourist recreation. It was only after the government of Jharkhand started promoting eco-tourism the place started getting its due recognition or place on the tourist map of India.
