Climate/Temperature: The climate of Delhi is continental in nature due to the distance from the sea. Delhi experiences extremes of temperature with blistering summers and freezing winters. The temperature varies from around 45 degrees in summer and around 4 degrees in winter. Winters in the capital are horrendously chilly. The winter is marked by thick mist and fog. Summers are excruciatingly scorching with the mercury rising to around 45 degrees. The heat wave is immense in summers. The finest period to visit Delhi is in the spring seasons of February to April and August to November.
