Situated about 11 km from the Mussoorie’s Library Point Benog Wildlife Sanctuary is a part of Rajaji National Park. Benog Wildlife Sanctuary is well-known for its varieties of flora and fauna. This sanctuary is home to different types of plant species like oak and rhododendron plants and home to animals like leopards, Himalayan goats, deer, and various species of birds.

This sanctuary is surrounded by benedictory pines, old cedar trees, and medicinal plants that grow in large amounts in this area. The Wildlife Sanctuary is popular for keeping rare kinds of birds and providing a great track of pine-clad slopes surrounded by Himalayan peaks for a pleasant walk. It is also home to the nearly extinct mountain quails, deer, leopards, and red-billed blue magpie.
