You can go around 40 kilometres by road from Puri to the Daya River. Travelling by automobile takes one and a half to two hours. Take NH316 out of Puri and head towards Bhubaneswar. Proceed towards the Daya River by turning left at Pipili after approximately 30 kilometres. To get to the river from Puri, you can alternatively take a local bus or hire a cab.
