Overview

It stands on the slope of the Aravalli Hills and offers an excellent view of Jaipur, which goes back to the glorious past of Rajasthan. The foundation of the city of Jaipur first took its form when Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II constructed Nahargarh Fort in 1734.

This fort can be regarded as a retirement palace for the royal family. Due to various wars and historical incidents, it always remained an inalienable part of Rajasthan tourism. For those travellers who want to gather information about their journey across the city, this can be visited by opting through Jaipur tour packages.

The Fort is named "Abode of Tigers," but its strongholds speak of grandeur and majesty, and so does the feel for Jaipur. It rises upon its rugged ground against the backdrop of Aravalli Hills and presents marvellous panoramic views of the "Pink City" below its turf. Intricate Indo-European architectural styles make the fort a mix of grandeur and simplicity. The elaborate corridors link all the different rooms.

Fresh beautiful frescoes and murals adorn every house; it tells the quality of art created during that era. One of the popular attractions of Nahargarh Fort Jaipur is Madhavendra Bhawan Palace constructed by Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh. This region of the fort was constructed as the summer palace of the king and his queens.

A private suite was given to each queen and attached to the rooms of the king. Symmetry is the feature of this palace; the architecture of Rajput turned out to be quite accurate as well as good-looking, so there is much appeal for the tourists. Apart from architectural beauty, much history and mystery is deepened in
