Gujarat Tourism offers a unique experience to every traveller, whether you are wandering through the bustling streets of Ahmedabad, gaping at the white salt desert of Kutch or longing for the majestic Asiatic lions in Gir National Park. In order to make the most out of your visit to Gujarat, it is important that you know when is the best time to Gujarat.

Winter (November to February)
The winter months from November to February, are considered as best time to visit Gujarat. The daytime temperatures during this season vary between 12°C and 29°C. The pleasant and mild winter weather is ideal for visiting several attractions within the state including Archaeological Sites in Gujarat. This season also coincides with major festivals such as Navratri and Rann Utsav, where one can have an enriching cultural experience.

Summer (March to June)
Summer in Gujarat lasts from March until June and it can be very difficult due to high temperatures. Gujarat temperature can go up to 41°C while sometimes it may reach even higher. During this period, people became more confined indoors as ways in which they used to spend their time outside, particularly visiting parks, became less enjoyable. But if you intend on coming here during these months, then try visiting indoor attractions or going up Saputara hill station, where it is cooler than on the plains. Although summer is a hot season, there are attractive Gujarat Holiday Packages available since it is not peak tourism season.

Monsoon (July to September)
This brings about a refreshing change in the Gujarat weather, all thanks to monsoons which last from July till September each year. The rain brings a wide range of temperatures, with them falling within the 27°C – 35°C range. The state receives moderate to heavy rainfall during this period. It becomes a beautiful time to visit as the landscape turns into a lush green paradise. However, at times, heavy rains can interfere with travel plans thus it is advisable for one to check weather forecasts and make necessary arrangements. Also it’s monsoon when Gir National Park becomes interesting because all flora and fauna come alive in such an environment washed by the rains.
