By Air
The nearest airport to Bhalukpong is Tezpur Airport (Salonibari Airport), approximately 52 km away. The airport is properly connected by way of flights from the major Indian towns of Guwahati and Kolkata. From Tezpur, you may take a taxi or private cab to Bhalukpong. The adventure from Tezpur to Bhalukpong takes 1.5 to 2 hours, presenting panoramic views of the foothills of the Himalayas.
By Road
Bhalukpong is properly linked with the roads, making it reachable from Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. If you're riding from Guwahati, the capital of Assam, take NH 27 to Tezpur after which NH 15 to Bhalukpong. The usual path from Guwahati to Bhalukpong is 240 km, and the journey takes about 5 to 6 hours. The roads are commonly in excellent situation, and passing through rural unexplored greenery and old fashioned villages.
By Train
The nearest railway station to Bhalukpong is Rangpara North Railway Station, which is 44 kilometres away. The station connects with many cities in Assam and diverse parts of India. From Rangpara, passengers can take a taxi or bus to Bhalukpong which will take 1-2 hours strength. Another alternative is to take the train to Tezpur and after that take the road to Bhalukpong.
The best way to reach Bhalukpong is to fly into the Tezpur airport, known locally as Salonibari airport. It is around 50 km from the main Bhalupong settlement area.
The most recommended way of getting here would be to drive through the NH 52. Bhaukpong is usually the first stop on the way to Tamang. The highway is busy, but there are awe-inspiring scenes along the way.
