Madan Kamdev, which lies around the Dewangiri mountain, is famous for its stone carvings and historical stays. Although the correct chronology of the temples' advent is unknown, it's widely believed that the complicated temples were constructed in the ninth or 10th century, in the course of the Pal dynasty of Kamarupa.
The remains of Madan Kamdev Temple have been obscured by using the dense woodland's flowers and trees, consequently, humans have been unaware of them till 1970. The temple's remains had been found in 1977 due to an excavation expedition executed with the aid of the Indian Archaeological Department. In 1986, the ASI assumed duty for the temple's conservation.
