Tawang Monastery: In Tawang, the most beautiful place to see is Tawang Monastery which is also known as the Gaden Namgye Lhatse. Being the largest monastery in India, it is known as the nucleus of Buddhist culture and history and a great work of art. It is believed that this monastery is 400 years old architectural marvel and has a great control over 17 gompas. This monastery is a large mansion – an adobe for more than 300 monks. Tawang War Memorial: For those who want to give a salute all brave soldiers who died during the 1962 Sino-Indian war, visiting Tawang war memorial is a great decision. It is situated just 1 Km away from Tawang valley.  This is the best place to salute the martyrs and give them thanks for their sacrifice. There is no entry fee. You can visit the memorial between 7.45 AM to 6.00 PM. It has a beautifully built stupa engraved with all soldiers name who have lost their lives during war.
